Over a Century of Community Service
1870-2012
The bank was founded in 1870 by W. B. Clarke and was known as the Banking House of W. B. Clarke. It was located on the corner of 7th and Washington Streets where it is still located today. After a fire and demolition, the bank building was rebuilt on the same site in 1913.
The Comptroller of the Currency granted First National Bank of Junction City a banking charter on July 15, 1886. It was given Trust Powers and became First National Bank and Trust Co. in April 1978. The West Branch Bank was opened in 1976 and the Herington Branch in October of 1993.
